Information for Spring 2021

CPYB Families,

First, I would like to wish all of you a Happy and Healthy New Year. I hope everyone was able to enjoy the holidays. It has been a very unusual and trying year for all of us. It is time to put 2020 behind us and move forward in 2021. This Spring season will be different than any other in the past. From registration, start dates, and team formation. So please read this notice to make sure you understand the process for this coming season.

With all the uncertainty over the past 9 months, we have tried to come up with the best scenario for us to start to play this Spring. This year will be different than years past. We will be doing all 0nline registration this year. We will not be doing any in person registrations. Registrations will start this Tuesday January 5th and will run through until January 24th. Practices will begin towards the end of February and the season is scheduled to start the Monday after Easter. The season is scheduled to end around the first week of June or earlier, depends on the amount of team.  Each division has a limited number of players. It is based on previous player history and managers that have said they are interested in taking teams. If the player numbers exceed what is in place, anyone who is after that will be put on a waitlist. It will let you know if you are on a waitlist. Being placed on the waitlist does not mean you will not be placed on a team. If we get more managers to sign up or players drop, we will release more players to play. If you are placed on the waitlist, you are not charged until the player has a spot.

If you want to be a manger or coach, we will need all of you to register as well online. After registering online, you will need to fill out a roster of requested players. If they are on your list, does not guarantee they will be placed on your team. If they are on the waitlist, they cannot be cleared until all other players have been placed and they are cleared from the waitlist by our player agent. Our player agent will not give you updates on if player is registered. It will be your responsibility to make sure all your players register on time. No exceptions will be made for anyone. Once you have your requested players list ready, please email it to the player agent at [email protected] . You must submit your requested player roster no later than January 24th. After that there will be no more player requests taken.

The biggest change for this year’s Spring season will be that we will not be having tryouts. We will be putting teams together like we do in our Winter season. The season will be played like a normal Spring with standings as normal. Managers can freeze an entire team up to 12 players. Those who do not have a complete roster, the remaining players who are available for placement will be assigned to those teams.

Once all teams are formed, we will reach out to the manager to set up a meeting to give them their rosters, select practice times, and team names.  Practices expected to start on or around February 22. Games tentatively to start around April 5th.

If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] . We look forward to seeing everyone soon back out on the fields.

Thank You.
